January 6, 2010. I have owned this Corvette (nicknamed Prince for obvious reasons) for the past 4 years. It has been modified since its original assembly on November 25, 1967. Based on information received from the previous owner, the car was manufactured with the legendary L71, 427ci, 435hp tri-power engine. Somewhere along the line, that engine was replaced with a 327ci engine, although the big block hood still remains as a reminder of its former years. The amazing Purple Pearl exterior color is obviously not from the factory either. The car was originally Tuxedo Black, the rarest color of this production year (only 708 produced.) The black side-pipes are also after-market, adding an aggressive, yet subtle statement. It does, however, retain its factory 4-speed manual transmission, manual brakes and manual steering. Sold for $18,500 on May 18, 2017. |
