Engine details: |
The block has the VIN stamped on it, along with HT, which is correct for a 350HP motor. Currently has an Offenhauser intake manifold and an Edelbrock carburetor installed. |
Other details: |
51000 miles shown. Speedometer fixed, but was not working when the car was purchased. True miles unknown. The bumpers are in excellent condition. The paint has some small scratches, and one headlight door has a chip in the paint, but overall it's a really pretty car. It has power steering, which is a nice option on these cars. |

Car history: |
The car has a clear title in my name. It is occasionally driven and always garaged in a heated garage. The block has the VIN stamped on it, along with HT, which is correct for a 350HP motor. The transmission is correct and verified as an M21 (per shop where it was rebuilt). Headlights open and close, wipers work as expected. I have had the hard top rebuilt and soft top replaced, the carpets replaced, the power steering completely rebuilt, gauges rebuilt, transmission rebuilt and clutch replaced, signal light actuator rebuilt, new front springs, tie rods, ball joints etc and shocks all around. All brake lines have been replaced, and it has been converted to power brakes. The parking brake stiill needs to be addressed. The engine has been completely rebuilt to 383 specs, converting it to a hydraulic roller and TrickFlow SBC 175 heads in the process. It is pushing 435 hp and 475 ft lbs on the dyno. Air and fuel flow thru a Quickfuel 680 CFM carb on top of an Offy 360 intake and exit thru freshly coated headers in front of a stock exhaust (which will be upgraded next). I was told by the engine builder that the Offy 360 was a dog on the 327, but should (and does) run like a bear on the 383. A drop base air cleaner has facilitated keeping the stock SBC hood. The car is not Roman Red, but has at some point been painted Cordovan Maroon (or something very close to that). I was able to have the paint matched when I replaced the missing headlight bezels. Other updates include functioning backup lights and correct exhaust tips. I am picking away at the car, putting my builder's daughter through college in the process. |
