Car history: |
2) This vette is powered by a 427 cid 400 hp bigblock. It is a L68 optioned car with 3x2 set up & 4 sp transmission. This car has been decoded and the block is original to the car. I consider this to be a high #3 car with a desirable engine option. 79,656 miles from the odometer. Motor suffix code is T0207IM. June 19, 2010. 1) COMPLETE NUMBERS MATCHING, 1968 CORVETTE 400 HP TRI-POWER. NEVER WRECKED. Personally owned since 1992, 1968 400 horsepower Tri-power Corvette. Again, this is a complete numbers matching car down to the 974 "Rally Red" paint with 79,500 documented miles shown on the car. Along with the paint, the following options were bought with this car: A85 Custom Shoulder Belts, G81 Positraction Rear Axle with 4:11 gears, K66 Transistor Ignition System, L68 400 Horsepower 427 Cubic Inch Engine, N36 Telescopic Steering Column, U69 AM/FM Radio, M20 4 Speed Muncie "Rock Crusher" Transmission. Updates and rebuilds that I have done in the past 18 years that I have owned the car, major rebuild receipts shown (all other will be included in file documentation), include complete front end rebuilt, total engine rebuild, rear end rebuild. Parts replaced at various milage are gas tank, clutch and pressure plate, heater core, clutch fan, distributor and coil, carburator overhaul, radiator rot and cleaned, master cylinder and stainless steel brake calipers, new Flow Master mufflers and it is setting on a new set of Firestone "Firehawk" tires with a complete fresh paint job (just weeks old) means NO SCRATCHE or stress crack. As shown in the pictures, this car has never been wrecked and was taken down to the original fiberglass for the painting. It has original door panels, POP OUT REAR WINDOW, Al Knoc carpet and new seat covers, otherwise everything else is original. This has been my "baby" and I vowed NEVER to sell it, but I have NO choice. Because of this I have spared no expense or time getting repairs done or regular maintainence. Because this is the 400 horsepower engine, it has hydrolic lifters and can run on premium unleaded gas and can be street driven daily. This is truly a one of a kind car as the documentation bears out. Please notice the milage is shown on the Oklahoma State title at 66,200 miles when I purchased the vette back in 1992 plus I have safety inspection receipts shown the milage previous to when I purchased. All that I have stated above is COMPLETELY DOCUMENTED and what is not shown herein will be provided at transfer. AUCTION ALSO INCLUDES ORIGINAL OWNERS MANUAL PLUS HAYNES SHOP MANUAL. Sorry about the pictures, but this year has been really bad weather. I do NOT take the car out in bad weather. 79,557 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is G15. February 23, 2010.
Pth: I bought the car recently at a classic Corvette dealer. |
