Seven Hills Motorcars is glad to offer this numbers matching 1972 4-Speed Corvette in excellent driver condition. This Corvette looks great, runs awesome, and is a spectacular driver that feels great out on the road. It is finished in the beautiful color combination of War Bonnet Yellow (905) over Saddle Vinyl Interior (417). This is the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag pictured below. This Corvette is completely Numbers Matching and virtually every part we checked on the car. We have run the numbers on hundreds of Corvettes and there are very few that are so many correct and original components with correct numbers and dates. The last six digits of the VIN are stamped on the engine pad, which is pictured below, and the engine is original to the car. The transmission is also original with the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the main case and pictured below. I have personally put over 50 miles on this car over the past month and during that time there were no issues, it was completely reliable, and a pleasure to drive. This Corvette needs nothing that we are aware of; it is virtually turn key and ready to be enjoyed. We have this car priced to sell and are offering an excellent opportunity to own a very desirable Corvette at an unbeatable value. One could easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase price in years to come as the market on C3 Corvettes is hot right now and on the rise, this is especially true for the chrome bumper cars from 1968-1972. The low mileage is verified as original by not only the condition of the car, but also the clear Ohio title, pictured below, showing the mileage as Actual. model description: The 1972 Corvette was truly the end of an era. 1972 was the last year to feature chrome bumpers and the egg crate grill, it is considered to be the last year of truly classic Corvettes. Years after were more at the mercy of insurance companies, fuel prices, and emission concerns, 1972 is considered the last good year. It was also the last year to feature a pop out rear window, and the first year that the way horsepower ratings are measured changed from gross to the more accurate net. As in investment, the 1972 will always have an advantage and out perform other years because of its precedence as the end of a a very great period for Corvette and muscle cars as a whole. numbers: please note when checking the numbers that not only do the correct stampings and casting numbers appear on the parts, but all of the dates are also chronologically correct. This means that all of the parts were made and assembled in the correct order. For example, all of the dates for the individual engine components and the engine casting date should obviously precede the assembly date of the engine because the parts had to be produced before they could be assembled. All of the parts I checked follow this rule and are dated correctly. BiN $19,500. September 11, 2015. |
