Car history:

This 1968 Corvette was originally equipped with a 390 horse 427. Twenty plus
years ago the original motor was replaced with a 1967 427 long block out of a
passenger car. A few years ago the cam was replaced with one with quite a bit of
lump. At the same time the heads and radiator were redone. It didn't run so
good when I got it a few weeks ago but now it runs excellent. The brakes are
fresh and the tires have less than 400 miles. The carburetor is a correct Rochester
MV4 but not the original. The transmission is original equipment as is the 3:55 HD
posi differential. The body is exceptionally solid and straight with the only indication
of any prior collision repair is a small area below the right front grille. The car has
been repainted once twenty plus years ago with a single stage and looks good
from ten feet. The Stringray emblems on the fenders have been on the car since
it was repainted. The hinged panels have excellent fit. The headlamps, lights and
wiper door work as they should as does the original radio. The car is solid and
tight and runs and drives, stops, and steers better than it looks. The frame is
solid and straight but does have some scale ahead of the rear wheels that does
not affect the structural integrity of the car one bit. To be an excellent driver, it
needs a rear spring, strut rods and a set of shocks.

I forgot. It has a new clutch and new u-joints on the half shafts.

Regarding the ballast resistor, it was/is a TI equipped car as well. When I got it, it
had a HEI in it thus the tach didn't worked. I needed to drop the voltage to the coil
and that was the quickest way. I have the original TI distributor with tag that
needs rebuilt. The amplifier is still on the car and all wiring is still in place.

The front fiber optics work, the rears don't.
