1972 Corvette 90% Original. Survivor. 1 Owner All Docs w/Protect-o-Plate, Factory Air. California Car. This particular car is a very special example and a 90% original survivor car. The vehicle was originally purchased by its current owner, a Doctor who drove it home from the Local Chevrolet Dealer on 11-17-1971. The owner states it was simply the color that sold him. This vehicle has been under his babied care since, this is a true California car native to San Diego, it has never been in a accident or exposed to harsh elements, it has had 1 re-paint in the original color and survived with its original interior intact and powered by its original engine and drive train. Equipped with few options this original stock Corvette is an rarity, offered with Factory Air Conditioning, a powerful numbers matching 350 V8 with 200hp (stamped V1o111 CDH and Vin#) and its original 4 speed transmission. The car has been repaired as needed and has never undergone a restoration, a true Survivor. The vehicle still retains many of the original stickers, tags, and warnings !!! We have the original Owners Manual, Warranty Card with Protect-o-plate, and various other pamphlets. The vehicle runs and drives excellent with only 98,000 babied miles it performs like new. Brakes and suspension is fine, and it handles great. The vehicle is finished in the original color of War Bonnet Yellow (code 989) completed back in the 80s the paint shows a little ware due to age but flows nicely with the patina of the car. The interior is 100% original, equipped with Center console, am/ fm radio, T-tops and pop-out rear window. The interior is Saddle Vinyl (code 989) fitted with matching carpet and dash colors the interior amplifies 70s styling. Refinements for the 1972 Corvette included a redesigned center console that deleted the useful but distracting fiber-optic light monitors, and the previously optional anti-theft alarm system was made standard in recognition of the Corvette's popularity among car thieves. Sales continued crawling back upward, tacking on nearly 5,200 units for a model year total of 26,994. All docs are included with sale documenting its history, for Collectors and Enthusiasts this type of paperwork is priceless. 98,326 miles. December 30, 2009. |
