1972 Elkhart Green Corvette Coupe purchased at Zip Corvette in May 2007 for $17,500 with 125,000 miles. Car now has 140,000. Car was purchased by Zip in 2006 in at Carlisle Penn car show. In in May of 2013 I installed a new 350 crate motor, new fuel pump, water pump, heater coil, electronic ignition, master cylinder. I STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL MATCHING NUMBERS ENGINE AND IT WILL GO TO THE NEW OWNER. Original engine has 140,000 miles. nothing wrong with engine, just needs rebuilding. I took it out planning on driving the car more and I did not want anything to happen to the original engine. Car has power steering, T-tops, removable rear window, dual exhaust, 4 wheel disc brakes, rally wheels, chrome bumpers in good condition on front and back, black interior in good condition, small knicks on drivers seat, original radio still plays. Front grill peeling a little. Car has one rare option, a rear window defogger, only 2000, of the 20,000 cars produced that year has that option. Paint in good condition, looks like it was repainted in the 90s. Has crack along front fender and bubble on the back fender. I have been told its and easy fix. I bought it that way. It never bothered me enough to get it fixed. She is no trailer queen, however, she is a looker. What it needs: Headlight adjustment, Zip replaced all the actuators in 2007, The lights need a tune up and probably a new headlight switch. Lights are in open position. If you know anything about these cars, the lights are temperamental. I put a picture of the car with the lights down to show how good it looks. That's all I know it needs. She drives awesome, plenty of power, turbo hydromatic 400 shifts smooth. It's been garaged as long as I have had it. Also, I contacted the previous owner and I got the bible that goes with the car, with receipts and paperwork starting in 1981. Also, I have all the issues of corvette monthly that you got when you purchased your corvette in 72. Pretty cool! Also, have original ads of the car as well. She is my baby, but it's time for her to go to a new home... Ended at $12,500 (RnM). December 16, 2015. |
