SOLD FOR $19,500 ON 7/15/20
This 1970 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is finished in red over saddle vinyl, and power is from a 350ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The seller acquired it in 2014 as a non-running project and relocated it from Arizona to Washington. Features include removable T-top roof panels, chrome bumpers and side skirts, a luggage rack, factory 15'' slotted wheels, and an AM/FM/cassette radio. The suspension and brakes recently have been overhauled. This C3 is now offered with two sets of floor mats and a clean Washington title in the sellers name.
Finished in red with removable T-tops, the fiberglass body is said to have been repainted during prior ownership. The seller notes cracking and clouding of the clearcoat on the hood and the front fascia, photos of which are provided in the gallery below. Images also show chips and scratches in the paintwork, and the gaskets for the doors and the T-tops have deteriorated.
Factory 15'' slotted steel wheels wear polished center caps and trim rings and are wrapped in white- letter BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires said to have been replaced under current ownership. Additional equipment includes a chrome-finished luggage rack, bumpers, and side skirts. The seller notes that the vacuum lines controlling the pop-up headlights and the windshield wipers are in need of service. The upper and lower control-arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints, tie rods, and shocks are said to have been replaced in 2014, along with the brake calipers, rotors, and some lines.
The interior features saddle vinyl on the seats, door panels, center console, and dashboard. Amenities include an AM/FM/cassette radio, chrome-accented trim, and a data plate behind the shifter that lists engine output, displacement, and compression ratio.
The tri-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. The five- digit odometer shows 93k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added by the seller; true mileage is unknown.
The L46 350ci V8 is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Factory-rated output was 350 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. The tachometer is intermittently inoperable, and the handbrake is in need of adjustment. A tune-up was reportedly performed in 2020, and the seller has replaced the radiator, exhaust, and carburetor. |
