Car history:
Third owner 1975 Corvette Convertible with 24,692 actual miles. The car was
ordered and received 6/10/75 by the original owner and sold in 1977 to my cousin
with 1600 miles on it. I bought it from my cousin in May of 1995 with 16,886 miles.
I have owned it since. It was never in an accident, has not seen rain, and was
stored in a heated garage in winter. The frame is solid. All but the first 1,600
miles were within my family, so the history is accurate. I have the original bill of
sale as well as the service book, owners manual, and even the knock outs from
the original GM keys. It has Goodyear 225/60 R15 Eagle GT tires with good tread
left, mounted on aluminum factory rims. (I believe they are from a 76 or 77, see
photos). A Lunati Cam is currently in the engine but I have the original cam and
lifters. There was a new battery last fall. The second owner, my cousin, had side
pipes and headers installed. The side pipes were removed but the headers are still
installed. The exhaust is a true dual with free flow cat converters, and have a nice
mellow sound. The only known problems mechanically are the clock and radio
stopped working last fall when the battery failed. Prior to the battery failure they
both worked. I haven't had time to have them looked at but a simple fix is
probably what is needed. The car is rare and only needs some minor TLC to be a
top notch ride. It runs strong and is a real eye catcher.

I have had a few serious/pro people look at the car, and have been doing some
research and have learned a few things about the car. As a L-82 convertible there
were only about 366 made, with less than 100 having a 4 speed. The gymkhana
suspension further limits the production number. They have all looked at the
frame key points, namely the kick ups and they are all solid. They said some
frame areas still have the original paint. The "bird cage" is solid. The car had a
factory "repaint" fixing some of the usual problems with the 74 and 75 Corvette
paint jobs. That was determined by a communication with the man who was in
charge of production during the 70's. He said it was not unusual for up to 25% of
production cars to be repainted before "soft" assembly, as paint was pretty bad
during those years. The original owner says the car was touched up at the dealer
upon delivery. On this car they were around the door handle and hinge area on
the passenger side. The paint is slightly off color adding to the factory repaint
theme. Again, engine, 4 speed trans, rear end are original. The car was never in
an accident or even bumped. It's life was spent since 1,600 miles as a Sunday
driver. Hope this helps define this cars condition.

The car has the following:
Bright Blue Metallic with Black Leather custom interior, white convertible top. ALL
original, all numbers match. Top is in excellent shape with no cracks in rear window.
