REAL DEAL, Matching numbers '68, 427-435 HP 2 top Corvette Roadster. Partial Tank sticker. Motor rebuilt early 2007. Correct code 2 stage paint 2007. Many new parts including recent brakes and shocks, new chambered exhaust (through the frame and no mufflers, sounds GREAT!). Solid Rust free frame. Not an NCRS car, but very correct and good detail. Mechanically, I'd rate it a 9, paint is a 9.5, interior is a 7.5, and has new carpet. Soft top is black and in excellent condition. This car is very much an investment quality, correct #s, 427-435 two top roadster. I'm getting lots of calls and e-mails asking about documentation. The ONLY documentation that exists is a partial, fuzzy, but able to be read tank sticker that shows the car as a 435 hp, 4 speed close ration, positraction, transistor ignition, Silverstone Silver, black interior, black soft top, auxiliary hardtop, am-fm radio. The order#, zone, and dealer # is hard to read. This sticker is still attached to the original tank, which has been replaced with a new one. This is NOT enough documentation to warrant turning this car into a preserved, trailer queen. It is simply a nice looking, nice running example that has just enough documentation and unchanged numbers. If you're looking for an encapsulated fully documented trailer queen to just look at, this is NOT your car, look elsewhere. The only documentation is a partial factory tank sticker, still affixed to the original tank, which has been replaced. It clearly shows the car as being an original 427-435, 4speed, positraction, am-fm radio, headrest seats, Silverstone Silver car w black interior and factory auxiliary hardtop. The trim plate matches the colors of the car, which matches the tank sticker. VIN not certain (had the last 4# only). 75,100 miles. March 30, 2008. |
