This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette is said to be a factory big-block example that has
been recently restored with new paint and a freshly built, 1971 date-coded
454CI 550HP engine. The restoration prioritized keeping the car totally stock in
appearance, and the engine was built using high performance parts including
aluminum heads, a 512 four bolt block, solid lifters, and a Richmond 5-speed
transmission. The car wears factory-correct and desirable Mulsanne Blue and
retains most of its original blue interior. Completed by Yannick Sire of Sire
Custom Performance, the seller says it is very fast, sounds fantastic, and runs
and drives very well, adding that 1,800 miles have been added since completion
to properly sort out the car.

Sanded back to bare fiberglass, the car was found to have good panels underneath
the faded original finish. Professionally resprayed in what closely matches the
original Mulsanne Blue, the car presents very well with excellent shine, complete
and well-preserved trim, badging and original wheels. Cool low angle shots
show off the cars trademark transverse composite leaf spring rear suspension,
fat Mickey Thompson raised letter tires, and twin exhaust.

The interior remains largely original except for reupholstered door panels and a
replacement center armrest. The center console is also original and displays a
454/425 plaque right behind the 5-speed shifter, though it is not known if that
was in fact the original specification. Mostly functional apart from an inoperable
oil pressure gauge, clock, and a speedo that does not rest at full zero when
stopped, the seller adds that the odometer does work properly and displays a
paperwork-verified 93,482 miles.

When purchased six years ago, the car was running a big block truck engine
with 71 Corvette heads and intake manifold. After a long search the seller
located a correct year, 512 casting, four bolt main block. Since rebuilt with
aluminum Air Flow Research heads and solid lifters, prep was handled by Yannick
Sire at Sire Custom Performance, a well-regarded Chevy performance specialist
shop. Delivering an estimated 550 HP, the seller notes that the motor runs cool,
idles smoothly, and pulls very hard.

Complete maintenance and restoration records from the sellers ownership are
included. Partial documentation from the cars early life include various records
from the 80s and 90s which support the current 93k mileage figure as accurate.
It is described as reliable and comfortable for cruising around town and on the open road.
