Purchased from Street Dreams Fredericksburg TX by me 01/2020. Mileage showed about 41,400. True mileage unknown.
From Previous Owner. REAL DEAL MATCHING NUMBERS 1968 Corvette Convertible. Equipped with a massive 427 V8 390 H.P. and a 4 speed manual trans. I have inspected the motor and trans personally, and the numbers do match on both engine and trans. I do not have any other type of documentation like build sheet, tank sticker, invoice, etc, nor do I have any restoration pictures, or pictures before paint, motor rebuild, etc. The mileage of 32,800 is believed to be original!! Again, I have no documentation to prove my thoughts, just going by the mileage on copies of previous titles, as well as underneath appears to retain the factory undercoat, and original qualities. Restoration was completed in 2006 on this beauty, I purchased this car exactly as you see it almost 2 years ago. At time of restoration, motor and trans were rebuilt to stock specs. New paint, New interior from legendary. All gauges were rebuilt, wiring, lights, etc. New Brakes. Paint is near flawless. It was painted the same color from factory, 984: Safari Yellow. New Wide Oval tires from Coker. Wheels appear to be original, with new caps and trim rings. Motor starts every time, with no smoke, tapping, or knocking issue. Trans shifts smooth. New Al Knock Black Convertible top. New suspension was also done at resto. No complaints on the ride and handeling of this vette. But this car is very solid and rattle free. Frame is extremely solid, and rustfree. As I said before, undercarriage is rustfree, and does appear to retain its original appearance. Everything works on this car!! Gauges, interior, exterior lights, turn signals, etc. The only thing I would do to this car would have the front end aligned. I had all intentions of keeping the car forever when I purchased it, so I was going to put new radial tires and chrome rims on it. Obviously, if I put new tires and wheels on, I would have to align again. Then I decided to sell the car, so I held off. It's ready to be driven and enjoyed. This is a very well done, professional, higher dollar restoration. But for all those Corvette purists out there, I dont know how competitive it would be at a NCRS judging show. Thats not my thing, and didn't bother me about checking anything else besides the numbers matching. 32,800 miles. Colors from the owner. Built date is B11. Motor suffix code is ?0829IL.
