Car history: |
Seven Hills Motorcars is proud to offer this beautiful numbers matching 1975 Corvette convertible in nice condition. This car needs nothing to be used and enjoyed and is a great driver. The attractive color combination of white over dark blue is original to the car as indicated by the trim tag pictured below. The car always turns heads and gets a TON of attention going down the road. Please peruse the list of numbers and all of the photos to get a true sense of how correct and clean this Corvette really is.
1975 was a very special year for Corvette, it was the last year of the C3 body style in which a convertible model was offered. Only 4,629 convertibles were made that year, which is why the 1975 Corvette Convertible is one of the most desirable models in the entire production run of C3 Corvettes. 1975 was also the first year Corvettes featured High Energy Ignition (HEI) with no mechanical points; a dramatic improvement over previous designs.
As a side note, this Corvette is not a dealer auction vehicle. We hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our Corvettes come from owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the Corvette, just give us a call.
Exterior The white exterior is in terrific driver condition. The finish has nice gloss and smooth finish. Often many corvettes will have particularly chipped up front ends, this car does not. The underside of the front end, a very fragile and vulnerable area, is in great condition as evidenced by the photos. There are no major imperfections that have been excluded from the photos. There are some blemishes around the car that were too faint to show up in photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from five to ten feet away. The convertible top is in nice shape with no rips, tears, or holes. This car still retains its original side glass, verified by the etched date codes. Original glass is a good indication that the car has not been in a major accident and never sustained significant damage. The frame is totally solid with no rust and I have seen no evidence of corrosion around the windshield. This car has absolutely no rust issues.
The Corvette looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.
Interior The black interior of the Corvette is also in fabulous condition. The seats do not have any split seams or tears and show very little wear. The drivers seat is not worn in the typical places, such as where the drivers belt-line may wear the seat bolsters. The carpet is in nice condition with no rips, holes, or stains. This includes the rear carpet which is often neglected. The convertible top operates easily as it should, but as with many vintage Corvettes from this era the side windows do not fit perfectly. The rear window of the convertible top is clear with no yellowing or fogging. Corvette interiors are not known to wear well and the excellent condition of this interior is a testament to the meticulous care this car has received throughout the years. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma whatsoever.
The interior looks just as good in person as it does in the photos.
Mechanical The car is in nice driving condition. It has no issues mechanical issues that affect drivability and this Corvette is ready to be enjoyed. Even the air conditioning still works. The car starts right away every time, runs well, and idles well. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. The transmission shifts smoothly. The brakes do not pull to one side or the other. The car drives terrifically; but does have a little play in the steering. This Corvette has plenty of power and it is very fast. All of the interior and exterior lights work. All of the gauges work with the obvious exception of the clock. The car does have some leaks, the shifter feels a bit out of sync, and the horn doesn't work. The headlights pop up with no binding with both the headlight switch and the vacuum override switch. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean and detailed as one can see in the photos. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car, especially with top down on a nice day.
