| One of the few remaining very early 1968 Corvettes. Vin # 194678S400542. Corvette convertible has soft top and hard top. Original correct # drive tran 4-speed 300 hp. good rebuild & clutch before I purchased eleven years ago, I have no document of motor rebuild or clutch. carb missing dashpot, good exhaust, car runs and drives well. Mechanic did recent tune up, oil & filter change, clutch adjustment (when at mechanic one head light door not opening, vacume hose slipped off at switche I have not checked this). crome fadded, grill cracked as shown in picture. The body appears to never had any major damage, this Corvette was never cut up or pieced together. Body has old non original blue paint with wear, pealing cracking paint with touch up. Car originally green, have no protecto plate or owners manual. Body overall very good.The undercarriage and very solid frame has been well preserved. solid body frame at door hinges & windshield post. Windshield has wiper marks, have wiper door vacume parts not on car. This early 1968 Corvette is not a restored car, Interior driver seat has wear & cracked seat back, 68 stearing wheel missing, tach & spedo not working, has electric Sun Tach. (mechanical tach. distributor in car), other gauges work. AM radio static. 71,246 miles. September 19, 2008. |
