Sold for $8,999 on September 19, 2017. 1) 1972 Corvette with a Non-Matching 350, Automatic, Air, and many new parts. I purchased the car a couple of months ago with the intent of making it a weekend cruiser. It is showing 57K plus miles on the odometer but I would think this is probably incorrect. The body is in good shape. The paint I understand is about 10 years old. It looks better in the pictures than it actually is. It shines but has lots of swirl marks and a few runs here and there. The original color was Silver. It has the funky rectangular headlights that I don't care for but I do have the original headlight doors. They are also painted Orange but would need to be rebuilt before installing them. The windshield wiper door also doesn't work and the wiper arms are missing. I never planned on driving it in the rain. The bumpers are straight but could stand to be re-chromed. The front lower bumper sections are missing. It had all new rubber around the T-Tops from the previous owner. Mechanically the car runs great. The previous owner replaced most of the Air Conditioning Components and did a little suspension work. I have just replaced Front and rear springs, all new Bilstein Shocks, New Rotors, New Calipers, New Master Cylinder, several new brake lines, lower ball joints, and a new battery. The tires are in great shape but the rears are a little large. 275/60-15. The transmission has a small leak. I haven't traced where it is leaking from. The interior is not bad for a 36 year old car. It could definately use new carpet. I was going to replace most of the interior to freshen it up. The radio works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. The gauges all seem to work fine. As I got into this car I decided to find me a big block convertible instead. This car would make a great daily driver. 58,000 miles. March 4, 2008. |
