C3 fans and collectors heres a real gem for you: a pristine 427, tri-power, 4-speed, convertible! We even have the tank sheet, too! This 1968 Corvette Convertible is guaranteed to turn heads, and turn the non-Vette lover into a Vette lover! Under the hood you will find the 427 (block # 3916321). This is the Correct 427 Motor but not numbers matching. The engine bay is highly detailed and does not disappoint. Unscrew and lift off the shiny air cleaner and you will see the GM three deuce intake (# 3937795 - L68, 400hp, oval port 3x2). Up front is the BeCool aluminum radiator. A Muncie 4-speed transmission is hooked up to the 427. Additional note worthy components include a new alternator, cast iron exhaust manifolds and all that chrome! This motor runs and drives awesome! The chassis has been very well kept. You can tell that this was someones pride and joy. All of the bushings are in good shape, the cross members are solid, and there is no rust to be found anywhere. There are new stainless fuel and brake lines. The calipers have been rebuilt front and rear, and new flexlines have been run to them. There is a fresh parking brake cable, new mono-leaf springs and the new exhaust system includes new mufflers as well. The fiberglass body is in amazing condition. It is straight, and the panel fit is excellent. The red paint is close to flawless, and both the front and rear chrome bumpers have been replated. The stainless trim and the black vinyl top are beautiful. Holding this Vette to the road are a set of Coker Red Line Radials. Take a peek inside and you will find an interior that is just as nice as the exterior and undercarriage. The red door panels, carpet and seats are in great condition. All of the gauges work and the lights work. Put the top down, hop in and take this baby for a cruise! Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is F08. 60,752 miles from the odometer. April 7, 2012. |
