Car history: |
1971 Original B/B with air conditioning-4 speed and a super rust-free frame. When I bought this car 10 years ago it had a 350 in it because they changed-for whatever reason---who knows ?? I looked around for the correct dated block, but I got sick of looking. I found this 1975 block from a chevelle and 1973 heads and had them all machined and assembled by a local speed shop named K&S speed shop of North Tonawanda N.Y.----Check them out on your computer if you think they are flunkeys. I have all receipts for proof. If you lift the hood on this car everything appears stone cold original but the block and heads numbers do not match. Has the original shifter and ball, original 4-speed, rear-end, original B/B sway bars, original front end parts--ball joints, tie rods, steering gear---remember this car only has 59,000 miles from new and the front--end is super, super tight and handles like an Italian sports car---if you were to change everything, you would be out of your mind. Air conditioner needs a charge and that's all because when I went to change the motors I losened up the muffler behind the compressor and kept loosening and it came loose and almost blew my head off--freon and oil everywhere and that after it had been sitting for about 12 years so I capped everything off so moisture wouldn't get in. When I put it back together I needed a reciever-drier so I put that in. The body on this car is beautiful and strait--NO GOOFY 2 INCH GAPS from the factory!! All this car needs is paint. The paint on it is original and worn down and stripped away in spots. This car has the leather seats, factory STEREO radio, air conditioning, roll-up windows and I also had to install new correct type carpets because the ones that were in there all dried up and fell apart. The 3 door compartment behind the seats is also new with factory jack and handle. I had this car with me out in California for 5 years so that's why it has California tags and title---and also I regestered it out there. I think I put about 300 miles on it when it was out there. Also forgive me for the not so good pictures because I am just getting over a broken hip and I can't get up and down-- -so please don't ask for more photo's. You can call me at 716-297-4707--DAN, if not in leave a message---I WILL CALL YOU BACK----THANK YOU.
