Car history: |
350 cubic inch, 300 horsepower, 4 bolt main, 10.25 compression ratio. Factory Saginaw 3-speed transmission (one of 252 for 1969). Trim ZQ4 (black vinyl), Paint 984 (Daytona Yellow), E05. 28,948 miles. Engine code: 3932386, engine build date: December 5, 1968. Transmission code: Saginaw 198709313 GM29 3925647 19GM8880042. This beautiful 1969 Corvette Convertible, currently a red beauty was originally Daytona Yellow. It has a factory code correct vinyl black interior and brand new black rag top with new frame. It has been shown in countless Corvette car shows accumulating numerous awards and 1st place finishes. The 350 engine was removed in the late 1990's with the intent of rebuilding. The rebuild never happened but the car has been running a smooth purring 400 small block with Hooker headers, Edlebrock intake, Holley carburetor, MSD ignition, beautiful chrome aftermarket wheels and fitted with a Big Block hood. It runs great on 93 octane fuel. The engine is coupled with an easy shifting 5 speed manual overdrive transmission for ease of cruising the interstate at low RPM's. The new buyer of this car will be getting the numbers matching 350 engine with its engine accessories, numbers matching 3-speed Saginaw transmission, original Chevrolet rally wheels, two hoods, correct air cleaner, intake manifold and carb., ignition shielding, valve covers and exhaust manifolds. The buyer will get the original hood and the big block hood, the aftermarket chrome wheels, two engines and two transmissions! The tires show an average of 10/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior might need some cosmetic work due to normal wear for a 48 year old car. It has a brand new battery and new black rag top. The body is in fantastic condition with no cracking or breaks in the fiberglass and the glistening red paint is showroom quality. Windows roll up and down with ease and have the correct date codes. Doors close nice and tight and all gaps are even throughout the car. The hood opens/shuts fine. Both the front and rear chrome bumpers are excellent. All other outside chrome is in great shape. The hardtop is beautiful. A hardtop stand is not provided. Flip up headlights, wipers, all lights, and turn signals work fine. The car's frame is rust free and solid. The car has no air conditioning. Selling miles are exempt due to the speedometer cable being defected for a time but now replaced and working. The car has power steering and disc brakes all around for easy handling. This is an adult car and has always been garage kept and meticulously serviced. You will love this car as we near the convertible top-down weather and attending car shows. People just love the look. $17,125 (RnM) on January 20, 2017. |
