Car history:
At Sacramento Corvette, we specialize in preserving the C3 (Third Generation)
Corvettes produced from 1968 to 1982.
This particular Corvette has some intriguing aspects, which make it particularly exciting to own:

78,348 original miles (based on testimony from previous owner and validated with reasonable certainty after inspection)

Original engine (transmission appears original but cannot confirm)

Original GM sticker on air cleaner

GM assembly line chalk mark on the inside of the hood (lower right corner see picture)

Original interior (with exception of seat recovering in leather)

Shade screen fully functional

Aftermarket stereo

Tires show aging (superficial cracking) indicative of the many years they have been on the vehicle

Out of 40,614 Corvettes produced in 1980, only 3,221 had option YF5,
which was the California Emission Certification on the only year Chevrolet offered a 305 motor.
(After 28 years, how many of those 3,221 still exist?)

Less than 8% of all Corvettes produced this year had the 305 cubic inch motor.

Although the cubic inches were 45 less than the traditional 350,
the horsepower rating was just 10 less than the standard 350 motor offered in the other 49 states.

Only about 18% of all Corvettes this year were black.

Cloth interior is quite uncommon (seats were recovered in leather). (See pictures of door panels.)

Original radio (though currently non-functional)

Of additional interest:
Currently registered in California
Passed smog test on September 24, 2008
New spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor.
$884.00 of repair work completed in September
Air conditioning recharged and converted to R134A
Fuel-regulator computer replaced
O2 sensor replaced
Additional miscellaneous repairs to ensure smog clearance

Future work / investigation to be done:
Wipers currently not operating (relay appears to be clicking, but not properly engaging power to wipers)
Weather-stripping is original and will eventually need to be replaced. Therefore, car is not watertight.
Starter replaced (intermittent failure to turn over).
Tapping on the starter or gently rocking the car in park disengages the starter and allows it to turn over.
Bushings are original and tired
Shocks appear to be original and should be replaced
Exhaust piping is tired and one hanger is missing
Most interior lighting works, but not speedo/tach and courtesy interior lamp
Glass t-tops are fully functional, yet both are cracked.

We attempt to disclose as much as we can recall through inspection of the vehicle.
We also provide plenty of pictures to help illustrate the true condition of the car.
Keep in mind, this is a 28-year-old, very original car, and thus looks great from 10
feet away, but is not a show car.
Paint appears to be original. Only evidence of body repair is the left, rear quarter
panel near the antenna.
