1970 corvette with clear paperwork and excellent frame! This corvette is a resto-mod/ possible motion vette (i will discuss this later in the post). This vette has a rebuilt engine with zero miles on it. I rebuilt the engine in Nov. 2008. It is a 350 bored +60 over. Here is a list of engine components: 1970 dated block 4 bolt mains, dart iron eagle heads 200cc/64cc with 202 valves. these heads produce power (i do have the dated 1970 double hump heads also. if you want them), I put a pete jackson gear drive in, comp cams 507/510 lift (big lift cam), roller tip rockers, +200 push rods, guide plates, polylocks, 3000 stall (it will need it), new bearings, high volume oil pump with 7qt moroso oil pan (with inside splash tray for hard acceleration demands), 400 turbo tranny, 360 degree high rise single plane intake (air gap style), 650 double pumper holley, headers and sidepipes, engine painted chevy orange and shines great, chrome valve covers, this vette should have aproximatly 450 hp (or more) it can be street driven (i have run out of money and it needs to be finished). b&m shifter and custom console. aftermarket guages(not tack or speedometer they are original). What it needs: painted (originaly marlboro maroon paint code 975) interior carpet and new door panels. it has seats but they are not from a vette, but they look great in the car so if you have to have vette seats you will need them also. I would redo all suspention bushings and u joints (don't need it just recommend it) brake upgrade they stop but with the power this is going to have you want it to stop better. I figure that you will have about 3 to 5 K to finish as a decent driver. This vette has power windows, power brakes, power steering and originally had air conditioning. Air components have been removed. NOW THE BEST PART THE FRAME IS PERFECT NO RUST ISSUES!!!! This vette is possibly one of the missing motion vettes. I AM NOT SAYING IT IS FOR SURE JUST A POSSiBILITY. from what I have read about motion vettes there were 12 built between 1968 to 1972. There has been 6 accounted for so far. There is only one person in the world that can verify that this is one and he wants $1500 to check. All I can say on that is if it is a true motion vette the price you get it for on here is minimal. Just check they are one of the most saught after vettes. And if you have an extra 1500 you can have it verified, But keep in mind it might not be. Now the reasons I believe this might be a motion vette; first sign is the hood THIS IS A MOTION HOOD!! it has had some work done to it (added wiper door on the back) these are not available aftermarket and if you can find one nowadays they are expensive. these are motion mirrors on this vette. Motion vettes were sticks. This vette frame is a stick cars frame (welded crossmember and shift linkage ear on frame) currently has a turbo 400 in it. Motion phase III vettes were custom made to the owners specs with certain body modifications. This vette has custom fiberglass work done including: front custom spoiler molded in, Custom molded headlights, motion fender flares front and back, rear spoiler elongated, alarm hole glassed over (i have read all motion vettes had this done). This vette was in Oklahoma for years. two other documented baldwin motion vettes came from Oklahoma. Now I know that it is a long shot that this is a motion vette but if i had the money i would check. IT IS A VERY GOOD POSSIBILITY. January 20, 2009. |
