Car history:
1978 Chevrolet Corvette (C3) 25th Anniversary L48 Coupe - Original Red
"Unique Exhaust, Fun to Drive, Mechanically Sound & Ready For The Road"

In 1978, Chevrolet manufactured a total of 40,274 Corvettes. Although ’78 was
considered a high production year, only 2,074 were factory painted red. That’s
just 5 out of every 100!

Also, It's estimated that more than half of those 2,074 original Red Corvettes have
been wrecked, scrapped, permanently parked, used for parts or repainted "since
1978"; making this vette' approximately 1 of only 1,000 remaining and sporting
original red factory paint from 1978.

What's even better is that this specific red ‘78 has proven itself over the past 34
years as a reliable and extremely fun “driver” Corvette!

Condition:
The owner (Jody) keeps the Corvette in Michigan at his Father’s auto shop; Where
the car has been covered, elevated and garage stored for the past 10 years;
Plated and driven only on a few special occasions during that time. This Corvette
has a well maintained L48 engine and automatic transmission, both of which run
strong and have plenty of life remaining if cared for appropriately.

This ‘vette is used and in good “driver” condition, therefore it is neither cosmetically
nor mechanically perfect (no well driven 34 year old Corvette with original paint
and engine will be “perfect”). This Corvette does have “character and potential for
perfect restoration" and is in a really good overall condition, considering the vintage
and mileage.

Family owned since 1994, you will find all original body panels solidly intact
along
with a very clean interior (light doeskin code 59C) that was partially updated in
1999, with OEM replacement carpet, interior door panels, visors and upgraded
leather Corvette seats. (The original seats were leather with cloth inserts while the
OEM replacement seats are complete leather; which is a nice upgrade). The only
other aftermarket modification to the car is the side exhaust. Also installed in 1999,
this eye catching addition includes Hooker Competition Sidemount Headers
(metallic ceramic coated) attached to Hooker 4" Side Pipe Tubes (chrome) fitted
with Hooker 4" Slip-In Mufflers; which all adds up to more performance and sportier
styling!
