1) ALL ORIGINAL 1969 CHEVY CORVETTE 75,000 ORIGINAL MILES, THREE DOCUMENTED OWNERS (I HAVE ALL REGISTRATION INFORMATION). 350 V8 WITH FOUR SPEED MANUAL. THE CAR IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE PICTURES SHOW THE CAR WITH A INDIANA LICENSE PLATE BUT THE CAR IS LOCATED IN BELLE CHASSE, LA. January 14, 2008. 2) Originality, Originality, Originality! Provenance, Provenance, Provenance! Or, if you prefer, Documentation, Documentation, Documentation. This car is as it was when it left the St. Louis factory in September 1968 as a proud new 1969 Corvette. It comes with the original Protecto-Plate still attached to the original New Car Warranty, yearly Vehicle Registrations from 1969 to 2006, the original Owners Manual and a very special GM promotion, a One Troy Ounce Bar of Silver (.999 Fine Silver) containing the likeness of a 1969 Corvette Coupe and the GM Logo, still in the original box. This all original matching numbers 350 cubic inch, 300 horsepower Corvette is a three owner survivor owned by the original owner from 1969 to 1981, then owned by a NCRS member for 20 years, from 1981 to 2001, and by the third owner to 2008 (the car has been in storage since 2005). The next purchaser becomes the 4th owner. Until May 2008 the car spent its entire registered life in Indiana (originally delivered in Kokomo) and California. Since May is has been located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. I am a Corvette and Hot Rod enthusiast/collector with a NC dealers license who buys and sells a few select cars per year. I am very particular and only buy correct documented vehicles in very good condition. Finding a car like this isn't easy. They don't fall into your lap. It's a bit like finding the Holy Grail. The car decodes as follows: TRIM PLATE: B24 = Built Sept 24, 1968 (the VIN shows it's the 2,529th 1969 Corvette built). Trim 407 = Red Interior. 986 Paint = Cortez Silver Metallic. ENGINE BLOCK: 19S702529 Stamping Matches VIN. V0921HY stamping = Flint, MI plant built on Sept 21. 8 cyl, 350/300 10.25:1 Compression with 4 BBL Carb and Manual Transmission. TRANSMISSION: 19S702529 Stamping Matches VIN. P9P13 stamping = Muncie 4 Speed, Model Year 1969, built Sept 13, 1968. DIFFERENTIAL: AN92068 STAMPING = 3:55 Positraction built Sept 20, 1968. NOTE: This is a No Power Steering, No Power Brakes, No power Windows, No Air Conditioning car. This is a car for the purist/collector. The engine in this car is solid and runs beautifully. One nice thing about the 1969 300 hp 350 engine is that it runs perfectly on 93 Octane gas with no knock what-so-ever. However, I add Octane Boost and Lead Substitute, available at any autoparts store, just to be safe. The undercarriage has been completely detailed and painted. New brake calipers and a master cylinder have been installed. New Monroe Sensi-Trac Shocks installed, a new water pump installed, new plug wires, new distributor cap, rotor and condenser, and the list goes on and on. Lots of new/reproduction parts and chrome parts too, and all the original parts removed come with the car. When completed within two weeks it will have gleaming new (original) Cortez Metallic paint, all new badging, new front grills, all new window and door seals, a completely refurbished interior, including new seat foam and upholstery, new carpet and much, much more throughout the car. This Corvette was a real find for me and is a jewel. I love it and I love driving it as much or more than my new C-6 Vette. It has had just shy of 40 years of good care, has always been kept original, has never been wrecked (my DMV inspector ran the VIN. It's clean as a whistle) and it will be ready to begin providing another 40 years of pleasure. 73,889 miles. June 23, 2008. |
