1978 Chevy Corvette. Anniversary Edition. Beautiful SILVER BULLET! Great all the way around and runs awesome with newly rebuilt carburetor. Very fast. Brakes were done as well with new master cylinder. This particular Corvette was garaged for about 11 years when it was bought by a mature man who had the carb and brakes done earlier this year. Also, all the DMV fees were paid through Jan 2012 as well. And just needs a smog inspection to complete registration. Previous owner states that the 74,000 miles are original. BODY: Body is straight with no accidents and NO RUST anywhere. Recently re-painted in the original 78 Corvette Anniversary SILVER. Looks beautiful. Original Alloy wheels are in great shape, and just need to be polished for the finished factory look. Tires have average wear on them. All center caps are present. Door handles open easily and door locks work with original keys. Original Anniversary emblems. Headlights go up and down flawlessly. INTERIOR: The interior color for this year model was called "Oyster". If you are not familiar with it, it's an off white with a hint of warm yellow. The carpet "Oyster" color however is a bit more on the light grayish color. None-the-less, the interior is in great shape. The carpet is brand new (so the auction winner will be the first to really enjoy it new). I did however opted not to put in the rear storage container carpet pieces in, rather, I had the old ones cleaned and dyed. They look good for now, I do have the new pieces that will be included with the car. Door panels are in excellent shape and the carpet areas were also cleaned and look great. Original leather seats are in good condition with some minor cracking. Seats were removed fully cleaned and rails painted in flat black. No cracks on dash or console and lower console looks recent. Glove box locks and opens flush. T- Tops are in excellent condition as is the weatherstripping. No warping on the inside panels (see pic). Leather steering wheel cover is also in excellent condition with minor cracking. Rear cargo shade works well. Cassette stereo works ok, and only the front speakers are installed (wiring for rear speakers are in place). FLAWS: Passenger seat's back panel has cracks and a missing piece on the bottom, also the "adjusting pins" on the seat bottom are bent and/or different, but work as they are. They also don't lock into place. Driver's door weather stripping is gone, the one on pas. side is like new. AC is not working. Plastic moulding above rear view mirror has a crack right in the middle. Exterior pas. side metal moulding has blemishes. one lug nut is missing, (I'll see if I have it somewhere) . There is no spare tire for this car (but the spare tire storage cover is in place). Original jack is missing (But I've included an after market one). The two black felt covered storage bins are missing. Power antenna is stuck at the half way point. If I have time, I'll try to have it replaced The pas. side sunvisor is missing in the photos but I do have it and will be with the car. TITLE: Clear title is in the name of the previous owner and is signed off by them. I have all the bill of sales that go with it as well. Some US States don't allow more than one sellers/bill of sales, (please check with them first). If you are out of the country; this is NOT A PROBLEM. **UPDATE** ALL Brake Calipers are new, so brakes work perfect. Differential was replaced as well, earlier this year. AC high pressure hose is bad. Has small exhaust leak up front. Missing some smog equipment, has headers. Price: US $8,500.00
