Car history: |
McBurnie Coachcraft was a US bodywork company mostly known for their replicas of Ferrari Daytona Spyder. The Daytona replicas are base on the Chevrovelt Corvette C3 and became very popular because they were featured in the TV series Miami Vide where the main character Sonny Crockett drives a black Daytona Spyder. Ferrari took legal action to stop McBurnie and other replica manufacturers from producing those replicas, this is one of only 79 that were partially built prior to the lawsuit. This Ferrari Daytona Spyder is built on a 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Chassis (titled as the same). It contains all original NOS (New Old Stock) lights (backup, tail and side-markers), steering wheel is from Italy, it has a rebuilt suspension, original gel-coat with molding lines (never been sanded or painted). The engine is a 350HP and original to Corvette to our knowledge. $3,550 and running (RnM). August 4, 2015. |
