This is my fresh restored custom 1968 Corvette. Runs and drives like a new very fast car! Sounds great too! Includes T-Tops, flip out rear window, electric windows and AM/FM stereo. Powered by a 454 cubic inch engine 4 bolt mains with 450 horse power. Backed by a Muncie four speed with Hurst shifter. Fueled by a Holly 750 cfm double pumper fed by a Holley electric fuel pump. The headers are rare made by Kustom Industries and sold back in 1968 and 1969 by GM for big block Corvettes. Rare Corvette rearend traction bar. All of the front and rear suspension, bushings, brakes, etc. have been replaced with new parts. Interior has been relpaced with many new parts. The body was stripped of all the old finish. The vette has a molded in rear spoiler, fender louvers and quad headlights. This Vette also has shaved door handles, deck vents and antenna. The big block hood is extra long to extend over the cowl and wiper area. Back in the 1970's a custom front and rear sections were added. The rear section sports 1960's Firebird tail lights and a flip up gas lid. The front section has a modified 1953 Corvette grille and custom turn indicators. The car is painted deep black with Baldwin Motion look bright white stripes. Sprayed with single stage urethane and highly polished to a mirror finish. Media blast and powder coating was done to most of the under side parts in the front and rear including the new gas tank and mounts, rear cross member, half shafts, drive shaft, front upper & lower a arms, front spindles, all the front supports, radiator support, hood hinges, engine pulleys and brackets and other misc. parts. All the bolts, washers and nuts removed were replaced with same size grade 8 bolts with new washers and nuts. Cool stuff includes white faced gauges, smoked clear plexiglass t-tops, sidepipes, period correct polished Ansen aluminum slotted wheels with knock offs (15x10 rear and 15x7 front), period correct white lettered 50 series BF Goodrich tires (L fronts and N rears) low mileage with lot of tread left. It needs a plastic bushing in the steering column of which I have not located one yet, hard to find. The car does not have a heater system. It was removed back in the 1970"s and the firewall was fiberglassed in where the unit goes. But I do have a complete heater system for the car that I will let go with the new owner. Other than that everthing works. 21,116 miles. Colors from the owner. November 10, 2008. |
