1973 Chevrolet Corvette 454BB "Z" Code Coupe with Factory A/C 5080 miles and 10 years since complete frame-up cosmetic and mechanical restoration... Mechanical restoration included rebuilding of the original, numbers matching 454 "Big-Block" Z-Code engine...Replacement of the original transmission with a 4- speed 400r4, a little more suited for highway driving(original transmission long gone)...Rebuilding and refinishing of the suspension components with new bushings, mounts, etc...Installation of a new 1-piece fiberglass rear spring conversion commonly done on "mid-years" and "Stingrays" for improved handling and ride quality...Exhaust replaced from front to rear...Brakes and rear end were gone through and rebuilt as new... Cosmetic restoration included new paint, in original color, thorough detailing and refinishing of the chassis (complete underside) and engine compartment for shows, and various pieces on the interior showing wear...
Paint, mechanicals, and interior are still very nice...Even after 10 years, this Corvette still shows very, very well...A/C blows cold...Car drives and handles very nicely and much better than other Corvettes of this generation I have owned... Paint is still a solid 8, with 10 being Porsche quality new...I have touched-up a few chips, but this car has been driven and enjoyed over the past 10 years...No cracks or fiberglass issues in the paint, only a few chips from driving...Chrome looks good with a very light petina...
The GOOD news...This IS an Original, Numbers Matching, "Z" Code Big Block Corvette w/ Factory A/C that needs nothing but to be enjoyed and driven...There IS a perfectly clean GA title, even though most older cars in GA have no title...This Corvette DOES HAVE removeable Tops...This Corvette IS CHEAP, considering the prices I have seen in the past...Automatic, Factory A/C, Removeable Tops, Tilt/Telescopic Steering Wheel, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Rally Wheels, and A/M F/M Cassette...
The BAD news...I hate to sell a car that Hemmings rates as the next "Mid Year Vette" as far as potential for appreciation in values over the next 10 years...
