| 1971 Corvette Convertible(VIN 194671S101491). The car is equipped with the original 454(LS-5) engine, 4 speed transmission, 3.08 Posi axle, AM-FM stereo radio, and factory alarm system. The original order copy (gas tank sticker) and Protecto-Plate are still intact and clearly document the vehicles content as you can see in the second picture. The car was originally war bonnet yellow and has been repainted with red lacquer. The re-spray was done over 20 years ago and has many hair line cracks devolving in areas like the outer corner of the hood. It retains a glossy appearance and is relatively free of chips The car currently has 112,000 well maintained miles and runs beautifully. Other than routine maintenance, the car has required minimal repairs, most significant of which include a new clutch assembly, addition of power steering, rebuild of the rear spindle bearings and brake calipers. The carpeting was replaced in 1987 and still appears like new. Like wise the seat covers were replaced in 1990. The car has been used sparingly (pampered), always stored in dry heated environment, which is evident when examining the chassis and body structure.
