Car history:
One owner 1969 Corvette L71 tri-power 427 roadster 435 horse power with 61K original miles, original paint, numbers matching car. Survivor car. Again, the paint is all original with some patina and wear. The interior is likewise all original, untouched. An amazingly original condition car that came with the rare L71 option. Always garaged. The dash, door panels and vinyl top are perfect as new. The carpet is decent and the seats have some minor splits. It was purchased from an elderly widow in Walnut Creek, CA, whose husband recently passed away. Her husband bought the car new in the San Francisco Bay Area. Black California plates. The title is still in the original owner's name, as I simply broker collector cars. The tank was replaced years ago, and the build sheet is not available. However, the car is so original that its authenticity is unquestionable to anyone who inspects the car. The original plate that sits below the stick shift, which specifies a 427 435hp car, has never been taken out of the car. The numbers on the block and transmission match the VIN on the chassis. It does not have power steering or power brakes. This is pure muscle. The 427 was just rebuilt last month, there are maybe 40 miles on the engine: new bearings, rings, cam and solid lifters, timing set, push rods, rocker arms. The block was still within factory specifications so the machine shop power honed it, no boring necessary; it still has the original pop-up pistons. The crank was likewise in perfect shape so it was simply polished. I have all the receipts for this work, just completed. The original carbs were just rebuilt as well. New exhaust. 61,122 miles. Owner says original colors. Motor suffix code is T0708L?. February 22, 2009.
