Posted 07/13/2016 This 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector's Edition is available for sale in our Detroit showroom. 1982 would mark the last year for the very popular and forever loved C3 or third generation Corvette. Marking the momentous occasion a limited number of Collector's Editions would be sold. Featuring a unique silver and beige paint job with darker graphics highlighting the lower door panels it would become an instant classic. With that in mind this has everything you could want as far as a collectible goes. A clean vehicle history report that not only shows it has never been in an accident but also verify's it has had only one owner. The engine, with its crossfire fuel injection, was the first fuelie Corvette since 1965. The set up would boost power to 200 HP which was a number the Corvette had not seen in quite some time. Mated up to a 4 speed automatic this Collector's Edition can cruise down the highway and not have to worry about the motor spinning at 3000 RPM. The hatchback window, which became a staple of Corvettes, was added to the package as well making this the only C3 hatchback made. With the odometer reading only 19,300 actual miles this is a super clean example. The original bronze/solar screened glass T-tops are in excellent condition and have no chips or cracking as they are prone to do. The two tone theme is carried into the interior as well with the Leather appearing to be in great condition.
