2) The 1968 Corvette sported all-new styling and was based on the Mako Shark II concept car. The design was bold, but it seemed most Americans approved as production was up from the previous year. The new Vette introduced hidden windshield wipers and removable T-Tops on the Coupe models and a new 3-speed automatic replaced the old 2-speed. Wheels were one inch wider and the rear roll center was lower allowing the car to corner and hug the roads with more ease. The Corvette featured here today is an outstanding piece. She is finished in a rare one-year only British Racing Green Metallic paint matched with a black vinyl interior. The car has a matching Auxiliary Hard top as well as a new beige soft top. Underneath the hood is the original numbers matching 427 V8 Engine with a 3 Carburetor Tri-Power Intake paired to the original Muncie 4-Speed Manual Transmission. The engine performs very well and the overall drivability is second to none. She also has 4-Wheel Power Disc Brakes, Dual Exhaust and Rallye Wheels with Whitewall Bias Ply Tires. The Corvette is in exceptional condition top to bottom and is ready to enjoy! $39,100 (RnM) on October 11, 2017. Sold for $24,400 on December 18, 2017.
