Car history: |
Matching number car. Car has been in the family since 1973. Original engine was sent to Jasper Engines and Transmission in Indiana to be remanufactured. Jasper kept as many original parts of the engine as they could. However, the cylinders were bored over, and new pistons were assembled. The pistons and connecting rods were weighted and balanced, and all other components were measured before re-assembly. Engine includes new cast iron manifolds, stainless steel exhaust line and mufflers, new clutch, resurfaced clutch plate, new water pump, refurbished original radiator, new correct clutch fan, new alternator and regulator, and a new fuel pump. It has an Edelbrock carburetor with a new air filter. The engine can also now run well on regular gas. |
