Engine details: |
350, 300 hp ZQ3 engine. 1969 dated 'CE' 4 bolt block (short block replaced under warranted in '69). In 2016 the original 'born with' J298 build date (Oct 29, 68) 186 heads, k158 dated intake manifold and exhaust manifolds were sold off to rebuild and lightly restomod the engine. The 4 bolt engine now sports a fresh bottom end using a high volume oil pump and a double row timing chain. 1986 Corvette aluminum '128' heads, aluminum 1979 Corvette intake manifold, Aftermarket aluminum water pump and 1981 tubular exhaust manifolds (with Air removed) used. FiTech fuel injection has replaced Qjet and Protronix III replaced points in dizzy. '71 L46 finned aluminum valve covers added using center bolt adapters. |
Other details: |
Base Corvette with no PS, no PB, and no PW. Headlight holes glasses in and a fixed headlight conversion done in early 80's along with a respray of original 976 Lemans blue (although not a perfect match - looks more of a teal color to me - similar to the 1969 Azure Turquoise color) or maybe a later 70's medium blue (?). Vinyl removed from hardtop and painted to match body. M20 transmission and 1968 dated 'AM' code 3.36:1 posi-traction rear are 'born with' original to car.
NCRS delivery report acquired.
Car is described as a driver and is a light resto-mod. Car completed a rubber refresh in 2013 with all new rubber hoses and lines as well as suspension bushings, body mounts, and window seals. Seats reupholstered (Al Knoch vinyl), Wilwood aluminum D8 brake calipers, ACC 80/20 carpet and Borgeson PS 12.7:1 installed in 2015.
Drives fantastic and would drive it anywhere for any distance. Shown at Atlanta Caffeine and Octane shows. |
