Car history: |
1969 Corvette that has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. Started with a car that had sat for over 30 years, frame was media blasted. The weld seams welded as per GM performance hand book. Suspension points were also beefed up. Rear Axle was upgraded to a new rebuilt HD 1982 Dana 44. I have two axle ratios available. You choose between 3.07 and 3.42. VanSteel offset trailing arms were used in the rear along with custom Sachs Double adjustable remote reservoir Coil Over Shocks, and Eibach springs. The camber control arms were modified to get better roll center and converted to heim joints. The front suspension was upgraded to VanSteel lower A arms set up for the Coil over and Guldstand upper A arms along with Sachs Double adjustable remote reservoir Coil over Shocks. Yes this Corvette is set up with coil overs Front and Rear. Then a Wilwood Big Brake kit was installed on the front with 6 piston calipers and 13" rotors with Aluminum Hats. On the rear a Wilwood big brake kit was used with 4 piston calipers and 13" rotors with factory parking brake option used. The wheel wells were then filled with BBS wheels 18X10 on the front and 18X12 on the rear. These were then covered with Michelin PS2 and PSS tires 285X35X18 front and 335X30X18 rear. The steering is controlled by a Steeroids Power Rack and Pinion conversion. A new power brake booster was also installed, and with a aluminum Master brake cylinder. The Engine is a built LS7 with a Peterson wet sump set up. It has a nice Cam and reworked Heads, along with a Fast 102 intake and upgraded injectors. Spectre intake tubing and Air filter. A Speed & performance front accessory drive was added to clean up the engine compartment. Behind this is a Built T56 Six speed out of a 2006 GTO. This has had the syncros and blockers beefed and connects to the rear end through an Aluminum drive shaft. The engine is controller by a GMPP harness and controller. The exhaust is routed thru Custom Modified Big Block Hooker side mount headers to Custom Flowmaster 5" core Mufflers and then dumps right in front of the rear wheels. The complete exhaust system has been Cromex Ceramic coated, This allows the side mount 5" mufflers to be much cooler than the old Hooker set up. You can actually put your hand on these mufflers and not get instantly burnt. The interior was kept close to stock looking as possible. The seats are from a 1989 Corvette then recovered in leather to match the rest of the car. Auto meter Gauges were used to monitor the monster engine. For creature comfort a Vintage Air A/C system was used that uses the factory controls. Power windows were added and a tilt steering wheel was rebuilt and installed. A new Auto Sound AM/FM Stereo system was added for the times you get tired of listening to the Beautiful sound of the engine. The fiber optics that were stock on 69 Corvettes were rebuilt and are fully operational.
The Body has been treated to a through massaging, then L88 style flared fenders were molded in. The fender lips were brought back to the factory shape to keep the lines of the body flowing, the body lines were sharpened up and the rear spoiler was slightly raised to flow with the rest of the body. Then the body was coated with a beautiful Electron blue paint with a Metallic Grey center stripe that flows over the hard top and continues across the rear deck lid. All new glass was installed and the stainless was re polished. A spoiler was added to the front after it was modified to also flow with the rest of the body lines. A single hoop roll bar was added as a bolt on and can be removed very easy if desired. The Hard top has had all new sealing rubber and headliner. This car was set up as a hard top only car, but I do have a soft top available if desired.
