Car history: |
1) 1972 Corvette project car. I believe this car to be numbers matching as the engine block vin and chassis match. Hydramatic automatic transmission. Exterior: Originally Elkhart Green, re-painted white by previous owner. Not a great paint job with some overspray and stress cracking, but still looks ok as a driver. Chrome has some pitting and should really be re-chromed. Frame has no rust and solid west coast car. Drivers side trailing arm has been refurbished and rust proofed. Passenger side wheel bearing is clicking. Drivers door has a small cut by the aligning pin from attempting to align driver side door. This can be easily covered up by re-aligning the door Engine: Runs and drives well. Needs a new radiator, temperature sender, tachometer drive gear broken so tach not currently working. Replacement headers installed and exhaust system. Interior: New door panels and a-pillar trim, carpet. Heat works, but A/C does not blow cold. Previous owner cut gauge cluster base to fit a cd unit. All hydraulics work including lights and wiper door. Odometer does not work, but the car has been in storage for several years by previous owner and has not been registered since 2014. I purchased this car in 2011 in hopes of performing a minor restoration as it is a solid driver car. I changed jobs and inherited a longer commute which is why it hasn't been registered since 2014. It's time to let someone else enjoy it and get it back on the road. BiN $12,500 but reached $8,700 (RnM) on April 1, 2018. Sold for $8,200 on May 29, 2018. |
