Updated Post 08/17/2019 Mecum Auctions Harrisburg 2019 Lot T135.1 See this link for pics. https://www.mecum.com/lots/PA0819-388346/1971-chevrolet-corvette-convertible/
Matching numbers 454/365 HP V-8 LS5 engine 500 ft. lbs. of torque Original exhaust system Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission Texas car with one repaint in War Bonnet Yellow Functional factory air conditioning Mostly original interior with exception of new carpets Rally wheels with hubcaps and trim rings BF Goodrich radial tires
Added to Registry 04/02/2014 This 1971 Corvette is not only a convertible, but has the LS5 454 big block option. Offered for sale by owner of well know Restoration Facility in north Texas (advantageautoworks.com). Very desirable low mileage unmolested original car with one repaint done in base coat clear coat sanded and buffed to a high end show finish. Interior is mostly original with hardly any signs of wear. Carpet has been replaced due to minor fading, drivers seat has very minimal wear, passenger seat still looks close to new. Car retains the original drive train down to the exhaust it came with. Undercarriage is original and untouched with exception of 4 new brake calipers, tie rod boots, and misc. rubber suspension bushings replaced due to dry rot and age. All gauges down to the clock still work. Has factory AM/FM radio that still works, may need speakers if anything. I do not have documentation to back up the miles, but the condition of the undercarriage and interior leads me to assume it has never been rolled over. Under hood is very nice and detailed. All engine brackets, pulleys, etc. have been disassembled, bead blasted, and refinished in the correct semi gloss or gloss black finishes. Engine block has been cleaned and professionally painted with automotive grade correct orange (no rattle can restoration). Recent carb overhaul and all basic tune up parts. Car runs and drives beautifully and is ready to drive cross country or to car shows. The car is not a hundred point frame off restoration but in overall incredible condition for its age.
