1971 Chevrolet Corvette. One of the most collectable vehicles out there has to
be the classic Corvette. Born in 1953 these cars continue to be highly sought
after. This 71 belongs to the C3 generation and is one of the nicest out there.
It is a survivor type car with 33,000 miles on the odometer which are believed
to be original based on the mileage noted on some previous receipts. It has
had some mechanical upgrades but all of the original parts come with the car.
It is painted in its original Ontario Orange paint which is in great shape. This
year had the removable T-Tops and removeable rear window plus it comes with
the bags for the T-Tops. All of the chrome is in good condition with no pitting
or issues. It rides on its original rally wheels which are wrapped in new BFG
Radial T/A tires. Under the hood sits the numbers matching LS5 454 V8 motor
that runs great. In an effort to make it a good dependable driver the motor was
gone through and it received multiple recent upgrades less than a year old.
This includes a Crower cam, lifters, roller rockers, guides, springs, retainers,
and locks as well as a Cloyes timing chain assembly, new clutch, new pressure
plate and flywheel assembly, new fuel pump, new carburetor, new intake,
Flowmaster mufflers, new radiator, new trailing arm assembly, all new u-joints,
an MSD 6A ignition, MSD wires, MSD coil, and all new motors/trans/3rd member
seals and gaskets. It also got new motor mounts during the process. So while
the car has been kept unrestored to maintain its originality it has been gone
through to make sure it is a good reliable driver. It has factory power steering,
power brakes and air conditioning but a new compressor has been installed.
Paired with the motor is a 4 speed manual transmission that moves through
the gears smoothly. The interior is complete in its original Dark Saddle vinyl
and in excellent shape. Everything is stock except for the stereo and speakers
which have been upgraded. Even the fiber optics are working correctly which is
something that tends to go out on these early C3 Corvettes.
The car is in great condition throughout and in addition to some original parts it
comes with a bunch of receipts and even the original invoice. If you are in the
market for a collector quality Corvette this nice survivor is a great fit. It is a
nicely optioned car and low mileage cars like this are only getting more difficult
to find. Add it to your collection for $56,350.00!
