Car history:
1) This is a 1971 Corvette coupe. It runs well and brakes well. I backed it up onto my trailer in June when I brought it home. Previous owner put it into the ditch at low speed, and bent the frame on the right side. Otherwise the frame is solid all the way back and through the rear kick-ups. I am told the frame can be straightened but I certainly will not guarantee that. The only body damage is what you can see. There is no damage to the floor or firewall--it is limited to the right front quarter panel.
PO removed some parts from it. I removed parts that I need for my 71.
You can see by the pictures that it has the original 350 motor, original bell housing, original Muncie M20 4-speed, and original 3.36 posi rear end.
The bird cage is solid and has very minimal rust. The brakes are good--has some new components.
The body was never hit prior to po's indiscretion this spring. The doors are solid and still have the working manual regulators. The body is in primer of some sort.
The car does not run now, because I disconnected wiring and other parts I needed. The motor ran good and strong with no oil smoke on startup or running. The carburetor did load up on the left bank. I did a video on my phone of the car running, but am not smart enough to upload to here. The block, heads, exhaust manifolds and oil pan (which is dented from the ditch) are all original. Intake, carb, air cleaner, alternator and starter have been replaced. Exhaust is there, but mufflers need replaced. The radiator is good. This was an original ac car, but ac box was damaged by accident.
The steering column is in place and good. Front suspension relay rod needs replaced. Trailing arms have been rebuilt fairly recently--front bolds are not rusted in at all. The original sifter is still on the transmission.
Not pictured, but included are the hood (which is undamaged), spare tire carrier, rear exhaust panel, and misc other parts. You can see that the majority of the interior is included. Both t-top headliners are there--one is stacked under the other in the picture.
The wheels are all Corvette 15x8 AZ coded wheels.
You can see that it has the original blue sticker on the door, original trim tag, and original vin tag in place. Title is clear. There is no branding or salvage issue with the title because the previous owner didn't contact insurance, and the accident was on his private property so there is no police report with the VIN involved. BiN $2,450 (Ended) on August 30, 2017.
