Car history: |
1) 1968 / 1969 are the true C3 collectables, the first original creative impulse. A radical change compared to the 1967. After that the rest of the C3's to my opinion became overdone, uglier and underpowered without much interest. I don't believe they represent any true collectable value. As the Jaguar XKE, the first years are the most collectable, even if the later series were technically improved and more reliable with more fancy stuff. I already have offers but don't hesitate to make offers cause I will definitely sell the car to the highest offer if I don't get my asking price. This one is a matching numbers, convertible 4 speed manual - Small Block 300HP - upgraded camshaft so around 340/350hp - 2nd owner 89 000 true original miles. Rare Options: Power Windows - Power Steering - Power Disc Brakes - Factory Air Conditionning Original california car. Previous owner owned it for 40 years. Always maintained but rarely driven. All Matching numbers: Engine block - heads - carburetor - gear box - rear end. Very straight body with good gaps. Just needs paint and top to make it show / perfect - (top can still be used to drive or protect the interior but has couple of cuts. Dry car with no rust anywhere and no accident . ABSOLUTELY NO RUST in the frame or windshield frame or what they call the birdcage /floors. A very healthy and solid structure. Chrome are still very good condition except the 2 front bumper guards where it is pitted. 1969 door locks not push buttons. Car was repainted once 25 years ago and still very presentable. Original Black interior with headrest seats in excellent condition, not restored, just one little cut on driver's seat (see picture). Runs and drives excellent, strong clutch and brakes. Engine runs strong, no noises, no ticking or knocking nor smoke or blowby and doesn't overheat. Everything pretty much works except wipers, oil pressure and fuel gauge. (I might fix those minors things by the time you buy the car if I have time to take care of it which I don't really have most of the time). Clear California title at my name. Currently California registered til August 2018. BiN $33,000 (Ended) on April 5, 2018. Sold for $29,900 on April 12, 2018. |
