Cortez Silver, two tops. Documented 14,917 mi. Owner writes: I ordered this Vette in Sept. 1969 and it was delivered in Sept. '69. 350/300 with power steering, 4-speed positraction, am/fm radio, cortez silver with black interior, black soft top. Spare tire has never been down, so papers are still there. Different tires on now, but still have originals. Purchased at age 29 with 2 two small kids, didn't buy to race, just to have a Vette, so did not get big engine. I'm listing this car for the owner, and had heard about this car over the years, and how original it was. Saw it on the street with a for sale sign and checked it out. I've had a couple of Vettes, a 69 coupe, now 2001 coupe, and this car is for real. The only things not original to this car is tires, fuel pump, water pump, and hoses. The black soft top is like new. Likewise with the black interior, looks like they have never seen the sun! All the chrome is like new. The paint has held up great as well. No spidering etc. some small road chips that have been touched up. Rally wheels nice also. Haven't seen the hardtop, but told it's nice also. Engine compartment complete, including smog pump! Only real flaw I see is owner replaced passenger side exhaust pipe, and exhaust tip does not line up properly with opening on body panel. (pictured). In talking with owner, might have been better off installing whole new exhaust system. It might have aligned better. A small fix for what this car brings to the table. Just an awesome original car, that has been well cared for by its owner for 46 years! 14,917 miles from the odometer (broken??). $39,000. April 15, 2015. |
