Possibly up for sale is my 1982 Corvette. I say possibly because first my magic number has to be hit and that's why I have a reserve, so if reserve gets met then someone will be the proud and happy owner of this very nice original low mileage Vette.
I am third owner of this Vette, it has only 76,488 original miles. Last owner had a new transmission put in at about 45,000 miles. According to last owner when he bought it had sat in storage for a number of years. His wife drove it for a few years and then again it was garaged. Nothing was wrong with car at time of it being parked, owners were going to put in new carpet and replace all of the door rubbers etc. but never got the time or around to doing it. Again it had sat for almost seven years.
When I bought the car I had it towed on a flat bed directly to a shop. Prior to me even hearing it run I had the following done:
1.Gas tank drained and new gas. 2.All fluids changed 3.New plugs and plug wires 4.New Distributor Cap and Rotor 5.New valve cover gaskets 6.New hoses and belts 7.New Starter and Battery 8.New Fuel Pump
Since then I have put brand new BF Goodrich Tires on it and I have put in a new carpet kit and all new door rubber. Car in my opinion is 95% complete and needs just a few minor things including a new paint job to be mint condition. Overall it runs and drives awesome, I drive it all the time and just made a trip to Portland, Oregon in it without any issues and had lots of fun.
Interior is in pretty good condition, no cracks in the dash, door panels are in good condition, new custom carpet kit, new alarm system with key-less door locks, new speakers front and back, am/fm bluetooth mp3 stereo.
From this past February through April I have put almost $4,000 in her, she is currently registered in the State of California in which are the toughest in nation for emissions and she had no troubles passing California smog.
The only reason I am even considering selling my corvette is we recently have been hit hard with some serious medical issues and health problems. If I can get the bills paid, its all worth selling my car. I never thought I would give her up and had planned to have it painted last April but then my health went side ways on me.
