This Corvette has been garage kept since I purchased it in 2004. I have $9,800.00 invested in it. I have had the rear end rebuilt (G&M Automotive Seven Lakes NC) Transmission rebuilt (Garys Transmission Aberdeen NC), also new exhaust, from the yoke back, alternator, power steering control lever, new battery. Other than the alternator I have done nothing to the engine, runs great no oil leaks that I know of. This car is in good shape with few minor problems. Power door locks need a small part to work properly. Leather seats are in good shape. A/C needs to be converted to the new style (dont know why you would want too with the T-Tops out). If you can find the old freon the a/c blows cold if charged. There is a short somewhere in the wiring between the dash lights and the rear window defogger. If a 10 amp fuse is installed, were it recommends a 5 amp, works fine. It does not effect the car when it is driven, but sooner or later you may want to fix this. The Vette needs a float charger applied (included in sale) if not started for a few weeks. This is a common problem with 1980 and 81 Chevrolets I was told by GM. The mileage is accurate to my knowledge. I have statements from Virginia DMV which I researched. Interior is in good shape, including the am/fm cassete stereo which works. One speaker in the front right of the car needs to be replaced. The car drives great. Has a few rattles, which is expected in a 30 year old car. Very little spidering on front end. I would not hesitate to get into this Vette and drive it anywhere. I do not have the time to fix the small issues on this car, I rarely drive it. It needs just a little more TLC and someone that wants to drive it alot. I have listed all the small problems with the car to my knowledge, should take less than $400.00 to fix them. Just need someone with more time than I have. Again, the small problems do not affect the driveability of the Vette, she is sound and a pleasure to drive. I guarantee looks when you drive through town in it! The car is sold as is.
