Beautiful numbers matching 1971 Corvette Stingray Coupe in fantastic driver condition. This Corvette looks absolutely amazing in Orange. The Ontario Orange (987) over Saddle Vinyl (417) color combination is highly desirable, truly striking, and looks great on this Corvette shark body style. It is also the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the trim tag, which is in the pictures. This car is loaded with great options such as air conditioning, power steering, power windows, tilt/telescopic steering column, AM/FM radio, and alarm system.
I have personally driven this Stingray about twenty miles. In that time it was completely reliable and a true pleasure to drive. This Corvette comes with service history for maintenance and repairs over the years. The receipts total over $6,600 so this car was cared for extremely well by the previous owner and it totally sorted mechanically. Not included in that amount is some work that was completed recently in September of 2019 by a reputable Corvette specific restoration shop: full new exhaust system and new correct tips, 4 new Lonestar stainless steel calipers with O ring converted pistons, 4 new rubber brake lines, new master cylinder, brake lines flushed with alcohol and new DOT 3 fluid installed, new semi-metallic brake pads, new starter, upper and lower pinion cushions, full chassis lube, all fuel lines flushed with alcohol and new fuel added, new correct pre-bent fuel hoses at pump, new fuel pump, new headlight vacuum relays, headlight check valve, new gaskets at heat riser, new high speed fan relay, and the carburetor was rebuilt. Additionally, the previous owner told us that the engine was completely rebuilt in the past.
Besides the correct trim codes this Corvette is Numbers Matching. We have run the numbers on literally hundreds of Corvettes over the years and there are very few chrome bumper C3's that are so correct and original. Even items like the distributor, cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, rims, and even all the windows are correct and original. The last six digits of the VIN are stamped on the engine pad, which is pictured in this ad, and the engine is original to the car. The transmission is also original with the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the main case and pictured |
