2) VERY RARE 1970 LS 5 Numbers Matching CORVETTE. This corvette is the last year of the High Compression engine 10.25.1 with 390 horse power and 500 lbs of torque the year everyone would like to own. You may not know this but production numbers are very low for the GM line for this year, and its because of a 4 month strike at GM. The Big Block car and the low build are just two reasons as to why these cars are very hard to find. Once you do have one it will bring you better results then investing in the stock market, that is of course if you ever decide to let her go. I'm really not happy that I must sell this one. The car came from out west. The previous owner was restoring it and owned it for many many years before he past away. His wife parked the car under a carport until a dealer friend finally was able to convince her to sell it to him. My good friend who has a small detail shop here in Pa. who also has his dealers license found out it was for sale and told me about it. So we made contact, made an offer and bought it. I couldn't have been happier. The car had a new gas tank put in and carburetor changed and I think a few other minor parts heater switch headlight switch etc from the other dealer. Here is what I can tell you about the car. Engine was suppose to be rebuilt (see photo of head) by previous owner sorry no paper work came with the car for anything. His wife couldn't find anything but if she does she will forward it to her dealer friend and they will get it to me and if I get anything you also will. Car has 70 lbs oil pressure on startup and does not have and kind of major leaks, does not smoke or make funny sounds of any kind. Starts right up, headlights work as they should right side a tiny bit slow but does open and close, hidden wipers work door opens and closes as it should, has battery disconnect if you only use it now and then, has new HD battery, all new rugs on deluxe interior, new lock cylinders, refurbished door panels, new light switch, new sill plates, previous owner did front end work new brakes, calipers, lines, tires, new paint color, changed from yellow, I rate it a 7 out of 10 shiny but some imperfections, overall not bad, interior very nice, all electrical works as it should including fiber optics and even the factory CLOCK. Power steering, power disc brakes, power steering on first move makes a little noise may be just a belt to tighten up I couldn't see the adjuster may be at its end of travel, air conditioning from gm factory, I wanted to up grade with r134 but was told by several car guys not to touch it because real purist want the part that comes with the car so you will need to service it with Freon of your choice get a belt and ck it out , its all there.. All new door and window trim rubbers. New dash pad, new valve covers, coil covers, brake cover under hood very nice. Has T tops and covers and straps for them, T tops and back window can be removed for that open feeling, almost like a convertible. Guess you are wondering why I have to part with it, before I purchased this rare car, I made an offer about 9 months ago on another car in my area and it took months for the lady to call me back. Well she finally did and sold me a semi restored numbers matching 1959 corvette with factory 2x4s. I believe you can see it in one of the photos I couldn't pass it up so I now have 2 corvettes a CTS V with 750 hp a ford truck a Buick la cross and a 2015 Benz S 550 dual turbo that will need a space for the winter and wife says something needs to go. So that's all I know on this classic car. I have a clean title in hand. I'm really not a corvette guy but will try to get you an answer to any and all questions. If you go to NADA classic cars you will see what these cars are worth now and every day that goes by will be worth more. But with that said my CTSV needs a stall in the garage so I really am a realistic seller. All real offers will be considered.
