Car history: |
My Dad's car. It's his baby. He's a life-long corvette nut & used to be a mechanic at Motion Chevrolet. It's a great driver & paint looks good from 5 feet. Mechanically sound and most annoying mid year Corvette issues worked out. With a paint job it would be perfect. 1968 Corvette Yellow/black interior. T-tops. 47k miles but odometer gear needs replacing, less than 1000 miles on car since full engine rebuild/chassis refreshed/interior refresh. Frame/suspenion bits treated with POR15. Original numbers-matching 327 wrapped in plastic & included with car. Original rallye wheels/centercaps & exhaust included with sale. Interior: New carpet & leather seat covers, new foam in seats. Shoulder harness from factory. Telescoping column. Power steering. Power brakes. Factory fit cassette player with upgraded speakers - nothing cut. Have stock radio with car. All light/fiber optics work. Mechanics: 385 stroker small block. Crane gold rockers. Comp hydraulic roller cam. heads ported/polished/flowed. 10.5:1 compression ratio. Forged pistons. 650 Holley double pump carb. Edelbrock intake. 4:11 rear. 4 speed 220 first gear. MSD ignition. Fresh brakes/stainless lines. Engine build & machine work by Elsasser Racing Engines in NY. Solid 450hp. Exterior: 15" Cragers. BF Goodrich tires. 427 hood. Chrome hooker headers/side pipes. Again paint not perfect, but car gets compliments wherever he goes. Few nicks but overall really straight for a 42 year old fiberglass car. February 27, 2010. |
