2) 1968 Chevrolet Corvette 427 V8, 4 Speed, T-Tops, Removable Rear Window, New Clutch, Shocks, Brakes, Mufflers, Starter and Altenator. The 427 has just been rebuilt and balanced with receipts and engine specs with only test miles on it. Headlight doors and wiper cowl work excellent. It has the Heavy Duty Anti-Sway bar and F41 suspension along with the original 6500 RPM Redline Tach. It runs and drives great. With some interior work and cosmetics, it has alot of potential to be a very nice Big Block Corvette Stingray. September 10, 2008. 1) Title: 1968 Corvette 427 Coupe. Mileage: 84,798 miles. This is a very nice 1968 Corvette coupe with a new balanced 427 NOM, and four speed transmission. Car was painted last summer with House of Kolor candy cobalt blue. New clutch, shocks, brakes, mufflers, starter and alternator. Tires have less than two thousand miles on them. The interior is very good but is missing a few trim pieces and needs a couple replacement pieces. Headlight and wiper doors work perfect. The frame has no rust and the car is very tight and drives like a Corvette should. Engine and drivetrain: Block has been bored, line honed, decked and pressure checked for cracks. New Federal Mogul main, rod and cam bearings. Forged Speed Pro pistons and moly rings, factory forged rods and crank. Entire rotating assembly has been professionally balanced. High volume/high pressure Millings oil pump. Lunati solid lifter cam and Lunati lifters. #781 large oval port heads rebuilt with new valves, stems and guides, Competition Cams heavy duty springs and retainers, 7/16" push rods. Hedman two inch headers, Edelbrock Torker II intake, 750 Holley carb. Carter high pressure fuel pump, 65,000 volt high energy ignition. I have $6000 worth of receipts for parts and work done on this engine. The engine runs perfect, makes lots of power and sounds beautiful. I spent lots of money on this engine and it shows. Four speed Muncie transmission with new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. 4:11 posi rear end. The car: new front bumber and grills. New front and rear emblems and engine letters. New door handles. Rear bumpers show their age and the letters on the rear that spell 'Corvette' are missing. New brakes, shocks and tires less than two thousand miles ago. One new caliper on the front. New alternator and starter. Original rims and center caps. I have a lowering kit for the rear but it is not installed. Interior: The interior is nice but is missing a few trim pieces and needs a couple of replacement pieces. Both tops need liners and weatherstipping. I had planned on getting glass tops so I never bothered with these. Both seats are missing the hard plastic liners on the back. The trim piece under the rear window is missing and the center consol is missing the piece that holds the fiber optics, but the fiber opitcs are under the dash and they work. All of these pieces are readily available through Ecklers, Corvette America or similar companies. Original tach has been replaced but works and goes with the cars (it is cable driven and would require a different distributor). May 2, 2008.
