Car history:
2) 1968 Corvette Convertible with the Optional Hardtop installed. This car has the following: Countless hours were spent block sanding this car to make it an extremely straight body. the paint was also hand rubbed to eliminate all orange peel so it is as smooth as they come. The interior is stock and has new carpet. New door panels and door sills. The seats have been redone and have new backs as well. Very clean and the dash is in excellent condition. The previous owner had kept this beauty in a heated garage. The hood is a L88 is also made a functional cowl. It is stock appearing but looks and works better. The car has been lowered 2" for a beautiful clean stance. It sports 15" Weld wheels with BF Drag Radials P275 15inch on the rear and Mickey Thompsons streets on the front. Rear end is original IRS but was blueprinted and fitted with new gears and new aftermarket axles, new bearings, etc...Also installed new offset trailing arms to allow slightly larger tires without rubbing to the all stock fenders. Front 'A' arms have new bushings an parts installed. It has the large diameter half shafts with non drilled u joints. This was an 327 300HP original stick car but installed now is a 400 turbo automatic with ATI converter. The engine is a 400 small block chevy estimated at near 650 horsepower. It has been overbored .040...Forged aftermarket crank...6" Crowler rods...Lunati Roller Cam...Brodix Track 1 Kenny Weld CNC full ported aluminum heads...310 CFM @ .700 lift...Crowler SS Roller rockers...Brodix Dominator intake...shortened...890 CFM Demon Dominator Carb...MSD 7al...Mallory Unilite Distributor...Mallory 140 GPH Electric fuel pump with return line...anti-theft switch to fuel pump...Hooker 1 3/4" Super Comp Headers...and a full 3" exhaust out the the rear in the original Factory slots...all first class parts... Stainless steel IRS camber rods with aircraft rod ends replace the stock forged bushing type. This car has made 2 passes at the track and went best of 10.62 @ 129 MPH with closed pipes, 9" slicks, no tuning and in the heat on 93 pump octane gas. This is a street legal car and ride around with no problem. There is over 15K invested in the motor alone...the carburetor itself sells for $1100.00. This car was first chosen by Hot Rod Magazine for Best Home Built Vette and is shown in the December 2001 issue, page 33. (Have Issue). I have all reciepts and engine specifications that go with the car. Starts Idles and runs along great. I am not positive of the actual mileage as the title is Exempt since over 10 years old. I also have the original numbers matching 327 block and Steel Crankshaft along with some other misc original Corvette parts. Working Original speedometer, lights, temp gauge gas gauge etc. 94,142 miles. September 27, 2009.
