1982 Chevrolet T-Top Coupe/Collector Edition Hatchback Unrestored w/7,200 Actual Miles One Owner Since New. 100 percent Original Paint, Original Interior, Original Under hood, Original Tires. 1 of 6,759 Produced.
One of the single nicest, most unrestored/original 1982 Collector Cars to be found! Wearing 100 percent of its original paint, trim, interior, weather stripping, under hood details and the like, along with wearing the original tires (re-installed since photos were taken), it is genuinely difficult to comprehend just how amazing this ONE OWNER, 7,200 mile Corvette is without seeing it in person. I will do my best to describe with a thorough write up, and detailed pictures.
This vehicle was traded in at a Northern Ohio Buick dealership by the original owner and that's how I acquired it. 35 years after its original delivery, this vehicle is in astonishing unrestored, yet extremely solid/mechanically-sound condition. The car starts right up, it is extremely tight, and runs and drives excellent. The exterior body is in amazing condition with only one extremely minor chip on the lower back corner of the LH door which has been touched up. The frame is devoid of any issues, accidents, rust damage/repairs. The underside is completely original, untouched and retains all of the amazing details the factory delivered. The body fitment is perfect/as expected. The doors, hood, deck lid all align, fit and close like the nearly new car it is today.
The Silver Beige (Code 59) paint is absolutely exceptional and it presents extremely well, with zero evidence of any paintwork whatsoever. The paint surface has a perfect and correct finish that clearly has not had a polishing wheel, or even the smallest amount of wet sanding ever completed ANYWHERE on it. I am an original paint/unrestored freak and this is one of the nicer original paint cars I have owned.
The gorgeous interior (Code 592) is in completely unrestored, nearly perfect condition. The dash, dash pad, gauges, steering wheel, seat upholstery, headliner, door panels, AND EVERYTHING ELSE is just simply amazing and in like-new condition. The underside of the dash assembly is just remarkable and looks as though it came off the assembly line last week. All weather strips are just incredibly nice throughout the car, and still soft and pliable on all surfaces, showing just how nicely this car was stored all these years!
The engine compartment is unrestored, and it retains all of proper components, and all original plating/colors/finishes are in still in place. The engine valve covers, block, all bracketry, air cleaner, etc. are all wearing their original paint. Original markings, decals, perfect wiring harnesses, and details throughout.
The original VIN tag is in place on the LH side windshield pillar/frame, the original body label and trim tag are in place. Vehicle has a clear, lien-free Ohio title which will be transferred in the next owners name.
Since the photos were taken, I re-installed the original tires on the absolutely mint, correct aluminum wheels. |
