Car history: |
1) This is a very clean matching #s 1968 Corvette 427 390HP 4 speed convertible. This California car has had 3 owners and has been maintained and throughly gone through by the Corvette Shop in the San Fernando valley here in Los Angeles. The original matching # 427 has been completely rebuilt balanced and blueprinted and sounds strong and very mean. The transmission is a M21 (not verified if matching # or not). Many things have very recently been completed on this car- suspension gone through new carburetor new carpet new Vintage air kit new weatherstripping new emblems new antenna assembly new rear compartments new door handles new fuel tank new hand brake handle and assembly new dash pad new motor mounts new alternator new water pump new roller cam and lifters new stainless valves 460 crank ported heads and intake new clutch pressure plate and throw out bearing new exhaust. Believed to be an 88000 mile original car and there is less than a few hundred miles on engine since rebuilt. Paint was done a few years ago and while it shows nicely overall there is some dust and imperfections in the paint. There are a couple of chips here and there and also a couple of small cracks in the fiberglass body as pictured. Very nice original matching # car for the money and these steel bumper vettes are definitely going up in value! 88,741 miles on the odometer. |
