Needs Touch Up Paint (Drivers side door (approx 4 inch diameter), front lower spoiler, and a couple others)
Last Odometer reading in 2007 / 116,438 - Odometer since stuck, but garage kept and driven very little. Has been 3rd vehicle for weekends, and recreation only. MAYBE DRIVEN 5,000 more miles since 2007 (total should now be approx. 122,000 miles.
1968 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE C3 SHARK / 327 MATCHING NUMBER. VIN 194678S402655 WITH HARD TOP & SOFT TOP THIS IS A FACTORY MATCHING NUMBER CAR POWERED BY A 327-300 HP SMALL BLOCK CHEVY. HEADS ON CAR HAVE A HIGH OUTPUT CASTING NUMBER. CAR IS LOADED WITH FACTORY OPTIONS POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, POWER WINDOWS, AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, AND FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING ALL IN WORKING ORDER. A/C UNIT CAN ALWAYS USE A CHARGE IN THE SUMMERTIME. CAR HAS BOTH THE HARD TOP & SOFT TOP. SOFT TOP IS BLACK & LOOKS VERY NICE AND YOU CAN SEE OUT THE REAR WINDOW. HARD TOP IS SAME EXACT COLOR OF EXTERIOR (YELLOW). CAR WAS REPAINTED CORVETTE YELLOW AND I WOULD RATE THE PAINT AS VERY NICE DRIVER QUALITY PAINT (A FEW CHIPS HAVE BEEN REPAIRED). IT HAS NICE SHINE AND NO ORANGEL PEAL, IT SHOWS VERY WELL, AND ALWAYS CLEANS UP NICE FOR A CRUISE. PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS. THIS CAR IS A C-3 CORVETTE AND C-3 CORVETTES ARE THE VERY LAST OF THE STEEL BUMPERS CORVETTES. THIS IS A GREAT INVESTMENT AS A CLASSIC CAR FOT THE FUTURE. YOU CAN DRIVE THIS ONE AND STILL MAKE MONEY ON IT IF YOU SHOULD EVER CHOOSE TO RESELL IT. THE VALUE IS ONLY GOING UP ON ANY CLASSIC MATCHING NUMBER CORVETTES OF COLLECTORS YEARS. THE BODY OF THIS CAR IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE EVER SEEN, AS IT HAS HELD UP EXTREMELY WELL (THOUGH THIS CAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN CARED FOR BY BOTH OWNERS (ORIGINAL IN ARIZONA & ME OUTSIDE OF THE PHILADELPHIA, PA AREA). THE DOOR FIT, AND BOTH CONVERTIBLE TOPS FIT ARE OUTSTANDING. THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY RALLY RED AND REPAINTED ONLY 1 TIME & CHANGED TO CORVETTE YELLOW IN APPROXIMATELY THE YEAR 2000. EXTREMELY HARD TO FIND ANY TRACE OF THE ORIGINAL COLOR RED INSIDE OR OUT. CAR IS FITTED WITH CORVETTE RALLY WHEELS, AND TRIM RINGS (UNFORTUNATELY 1 IS MISSING AS IT WAS STOLEN, I AM LOOKING FOR REPLACEMENT). NEW RED LINE TIRES WERE PUT ON IN APPROX 2007, ALIGNMENT IS INTACT, AND AGAIN HAVE BARELY ANY MILES ON THEM SINCE. BUMPERS LOOK NEW IN FRONT & BACK. NEW LOCK BUTTON ON DRIVER SIDE DOOR. MOTOR AREA ALSO LOOKS GREAT, AND SHINY!! THE CAR IS VERY ORIGINAL OVERALL AND IS STILL NOT SHOWING ITS AGE, AND IT SOUNDS LIKE A BEAST!! CAR STILL HAS ORIGINAL RADIO IN THE DASH AND IT WORKS GREAT. EVEN THE FACTORY RUBBER WATER BOTTLE FOR WIPERS STILL INTACT UNDER THE HOOD. I WOULD RATE THIS CAR VERY NICE OVERALL, AND VERY RESPECTABLE IN ALL AREAS. THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND I AS THE SECOND TOOK EXCELLENT CARE OF THE VEHICLE, AND HAD IT GARAGE KEPT. NEW SUN VISORS. NEW BATTERY IN CAR. ORIGINAL MOTOR, RUNS NICE. 440 ENGINE. CHARGED A/C & INSTALLED FUSE. ORIGINAL MSRP $4,320.00. THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR LOOKS BETTER THAN THE AVERAGE AND IS VERY SOUND AND SOLID. YOU CAN DRIVE THIS CAR ANYTIME & ANYWHERE YOU SEE FIT AND YOU WILL GET PLENTY OF HEADS TURNING.. THEY HEAR THE ROAR & THEN SEE THE BEAUTY!! CAR IS A TURN KEY, GOOD RUNNING, AND GREAT LOOKING RIDE. INTERIOR IS STILL ORIGINAL AND LOOKS NICE. BOTH SEATS FUNTIONAL IN MOVEMENTS. CAR IS NOT A FRAME OFF OF RETRO BUT A VERY SOLID HIGHER END DRIVER TYPE CAR THAT YOU CAN DRIVE AND ENJOY LOOKING AT. THIS CAR COULD NOT PLACE IN A NATIONAL CAR SHOW. HOWEVER, IT COULD TROPHY AT ANY LOCAL CAR SHOW IF YOU ARE A TRUE ENTHUSIAST. WE ARE ONLY SELLING BECAUSE LIFE GETS BUSY, AND WE RARELY GET TO EVEN TAKE IT FOR A SPIN. ADDITIONALLY, WE HAVE 1 CHILD HEADED TO COLLEGE THIS FALL, AND 2 MORE BEHIND HIM!! I PURCHASED THIS VETTE TO ENJOY, AND SINCE WE SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE THE TIME, WE HAVE DECIDED TO SELL IT AND LET SOMEONE ELSE GIVE IT THE PROPER T.L.C. AND DRIVE TIME!! IT NEEDS TO RUN AND ROAR. |
