Car history: |
I am selling my 1969 chevy stingray convertible. I'm not desperate to sell so I'm not interested in being low-balled. I've spent quite a bit on this car over time - over $40k with engine rebuilds, swaps, servicing, etc etc. It's NOT numbers matching - I had to ditch the original engine after the heads melted (someone before me bored it out too much and it overheated etc.). It is a rebuild 350 with a SLIGHT bore and a bit of a CAM - so it has some pep to it - more than standard. I recently got rid of the garbage quadrajet and put an edelbrock carb new fuel lines etc. I added aftermarket power-steering which works great. All the vaccuum stuff works - headlights etc as does the electronics for the most part - never sure about all the gauges. it runs nice and cool - even just idling - never above 200 and usually below. Brand new interior leather seats - added a wooden steering wheel. Brakes are working fine - tires are decent. There are no major leaks that I can tell - nothing on my garage floor which was not always the case with prior motors.....over the past years I finally got the car to the state that it isn't dropping oil or radiator fluid on the garage floor (new motor/radiator). Paint looks pretty good - even from close up - but it's not a metallic flake shiny or anything. I have not done a repaint on it - there's some small chips and lines where the hard-top used to sit. (yes I have the original black hard-top too). black soft-top. The black convertible top is in pretty good condition - I think a small tear - but I rarely have it in the up position - it is a MANUAL top. the car sits in the garage and gets some weekly or bi-weekly driving - I leave a trickle charge so as not to lose the battery. Just time for someone else to enjoy it - I have a 2007 vette and find myself driving it and so the 69 doesn't get much use - but I'm not desperate situation so reasonable interest welcomed. $32,900. June 2, 2015. |
